As we approach the end of the academic year we look back at the amazing achievements of our students. This was embodied in the ceremony to celebrate the completion of the MYP by our M5 students; thirteen individuals who have all made their mark on ISM in very different, but all positive, ways. We wish them all well in the next stage of their educational journeys, whether as part of the first D1 class of UWC, or elsewhere.
On Friday we also had a group of PYP students travel to Kennedy House to take part in the spelling bee. Well done to all for their efforts and for Miss Shaheen for guiding them on their spelling ways. Eleanor is pictured left receiving her winners certificate in her age group from The Kennedy House Headteacher.
At the beginning of the week our M5 students were busy with their Careers & Skills Symposium on Monday, with seven visitors from varied professions and areas of work sharing their knowledge and stories; many thanks to all those who volunteered their time. On Tuesday the M5s hosted a service day at ISM Arusha for children from the House of Children Foundation. Our students organised games, learning activities and a general day of fun, which was greatly enjoyed by all.
Next week the PYP students will be putting on their grand performance of ‘Juma and Friends’; with a dress rehearsal on Monday morning and then the main event on Tuesday at 13.30. Make sure you do not miss the fun!
Have a great weekend,
