The Riptide Swim Club swimmers who were able to make the hop across country to Mwanza for the Isamilo Swim Gala.
The 50 strong group of swimmers and parents left Arusha Campus at 7.30am on Friday morning to board the plane to Mwanza from Kilimanjaro. Arriving safely and settled in they were soon stuck in to the gala itself. Fierce comeptition was exactly what the Riptiders wanted and they got it in the form of TALISS, Lake Swim Club, Mwanza Swim Club, Bluefins and Dar Swim Club. Clubs that had travelled from all over Tanzania to take part.
Everyone performed heroically and our girls’ team were triumphant in their quest to come out on top!
A big ‘Thank You’ to Madeleine Oosterhuis for organising the travel and logistics and all the mums, dads and students who went along.
