Festival of the Arts on Arusha Campus this Thursday 27th February

Dear UWCEA Arusha Families,

Tomorrow night we will be hosting Festival of the Arts.

Many activities for all ages will be spread across the campus.

Performances by P5, M1, M2, and upper secondary students will start at 5pm in the Performance Area.  These performances will repeat again at 6pm for late arrivals.

Throughout the evening the M3 students will be conducting an improv drama workshop on the lawn outside the DP/MYP coordinators offices.
In the Art Pavilion will be the Final Diploma Exhibition for Ghaidaa Dakik, titled “Perspectives”.  Additionally Ghaidaa has turned the bottom of the water tower into an interactive camera obscura.  Come experience a view of our campus that you have never seen before. Young children will love seeing the world upside down.

Artwork form P5 and P6 will be on the outside of the Library classroom with the first year Diploma Art Exhibition inside.
In S12 (Mr. Olivier’s French room) Art and Design work from M1 will be on display.
M2 Art and Design work will be in S20 (Ms Christy’s room), M3 in S21 (Mr Schutte’s room), and M4/5 will exhibit projects in Mr Anderson’s room, S22.

Additionally, various students have made artwork which will be for sale by Silent Auction as part of Arts for Humanity.  The silent auction will be in Ms Larpent’s French room. Proceeds will support the fight against child trafficking.

Our Student House Council will have refreshments for sale throughout the evening and Diploma Art students will have printmaking activities for younger students in the Primary Art rom from 5-6.
We look forward to seeing you for what should be a fun filled evening.

Regards

The Art, Music and Drama Faculty aka Kate, Tyler, Ollie and Christy
