The new beginners swimming pool (above) at Arusha Campus is taking shape. Far too cold to swim at the moment, the pool will be a great new adition to our learning resources in September when its warm enough to swim. Many thanks to our PTA and Primary parents and teachers who so successfully fundraised for this!

A reminder that our first day of school is Tuesday 11th August.
Monday 10th August is a day devoted to the orientation of new students and so if you are a new student in Nursery to M5 then you are most welcome to join that orientation. The programme will start at 9am.
For parents old and new we would like you to come along to our PTA Coffee morning at 7.45am on Thursday 18th August in the following week.
One of our policy changes as we enter the new school year is our mobile phone policy. After a successful trial late last year we feel well informed to introduce the following policy which we hope will be of benefit to everyone.
PYP students – no phones allowed in school
MYP students – phones may be brought to school but they should be switched off and handed to your class mentor at registration. Your phone will be stored securely until 3pm when you may take it back again.
DP students – phone may be brought to school but they should be switched off and handed to the teacher at the start of each lesson. At the end of the lesson you may retrieve your phone before moving to the next class.
This policy will start on the first day of school.
In coming newsletters we will introduce our new teachers. We have already introduced Miss Claudia (Visual Art, DP and MYP) and so this week its Mr Sean’s turn and you can read about him below. We have two more teachers to introduce next week.
