We were delighted to welcome all MYP students back to campus on Monday. Our MYP classes continue to grow, and we extend a particularly warm welcome to the students and families who are joining our community this year. With the growth of M5, we are excited to announce that we now have two sections in this year group!
Upcoming MYP parent events:
Families are invited to Meet the Secondary Mentors and Teachers on Wednesday 20 August from 3pm at the Rhino Tower. This is a great chance to put faces to names and learn more about the people guiding your child’s learning. This will be followed at 4pm by an info session for M5 parents about the eAssessments in the Library Annex.
On Friday 22 August from 7.45am, all MYP parents are warmly invited to join us for coffee and tea, connect with other parents, and learn more about the PTA’s role on our campus. On the same morning starting at 8.15am, there will be an information session about the transition from Primary School to MYP, as well as an overview of the MYP curriculum and assessment practices. This session is especially designed for M1 parents and for new families whose children have just joined MYP.
MYP mentors:
Students in M1–M5 meet with their mentor each morning and have two scheduled mentor lessons per week. Mentors play a key role in supporting students’ academic progress and socio-emotional wellbeing, and they are often the first point of contact for students and families.
